Trolls: Remix Rescue | Work resume
Tested and refined the playable character’s mechanics to ensure smooth movement and responsive controls. By iterating on jumps and interactions, improved gameplay feel, making controls intuitive and engaging.
Designed puzzles with balanced pacing and difficulty, including Simon Says, musical challenges, and environmental interactions. Developed the guitar and dance minigames, integrating them seamlessly into the game’s rhythm and theme.
Managed the game’s economy by balancing collectible distribution and created level design blocking for four semi-open world platform levels, shaping exploration, platforming, and interactive elements.



MECHANICS

Conducted gameplay tests to refine mechanics and overall player experience.

Adjusted movement speed, jump height, and attack actions of playable characters for better balance and responsiveness.

Tweaked enemy behavior, including movement speed, attack patterns, damage parameters, and health values.

Developed platforming mechanics and environmental hazards to enhance level design and challenge.

Designed and refined the Trolls' platform-creation ability using their hair, integrating it into traversal and puzzle-solving mechanics.

PUZZLES

Designed a Simon Says puzzle, requiring players to replicate sequences to progress.
Developed a harp music puzzle, where players must pluck strings in a specific order to unlock paths.

Designed giant flute puzzles, where air bursts from multiple holes, serving as platforms. Players can block holes to increase air pressure in the remaining ones, launching the Troll with greater force.
Created a bird-attracting puzzle, where players lure a giant bird with food to rescue a character (Brench), using the bird as transportation to its nest.




MINIGAMES

Designed and developed the guitar and dance minigames for Trolls Remix Rescue.

Both minigames support multiplayer for up to 4 players, allowing cooperative and competitive gameplay.

The guitar minigame is inspired by Guitar Hero, requiring precise timing to hit notes in rhythm with the music.

The dance minigame follows mechanics from popular dance games, challenging players to match movements to the beat.

Each world in the game features one guitar and one dance minigame, with unique themes, songs, and visual styles.

Designed distinct flow and difficulty levels for each minigame, ensuring gameplay is synchronized with the rhythm and intensity of the music.
